Buhala Game Lodge & Country House is beautifully situated on the banks of the Crocodile River, the border of the Kruger National Park. The large, colonial style thatched building is elegantly furnished, the service, food and wine are excellent and the scenery is magnificent. Sip your sundowners and watch big game come down to drink at the river, whilst the friendly staff cater to your every whim. Elephant, lion, leopard, buffalo, rhino, hippo, giraffe are all regulars. Over 200 species of birds have been recorded on the property

Rooms
The main lodge has 10 elegant and spacious double/twin rooms, each with generous en suite bathroom and two with balconies. Alternatively, there are 2 new garden suites in the 'Elephant House' overlooking the river, with a splash pool. Each suite has it's own verandah, and is equipped with television, a bar fridge and both an indoor and outdoor shower as well as a free-standing bath in the bedroom.

Dining
The food at Buhala is exquisite, whatever you do make sure you eat your evening meal here, a superb 4 course meal and an extensive wine list will make this a dinner to savour.

Breakfast  is served on the verandah with the keen-eyed staff spotting the game across the river for you. Binoculars supplied!

Activities
Guests of Buhala Game Lodge have the opportunity of playing South Africa's No.1 golf course, Leopard Creek, which is only a short, drive away. For non-golfers, enjoy a game drive into the Kruger National Park with the resident ranger in an open safari vehicle. Early morning walks in the Kruger, and night drives are available as an extra excursion.

Buhala is an ideal location from which to explore the Scenic Route, God's Window, and Pilgrim's Rest etc. and is only one hour from Swaziland & two hours from Maputo.

No children under 6 years of age and only one child under 10 years can be can be present at a time.
