Sun City Sample Golf Itinerary

10 nights, 6 rounds of golf

The unique resort complex of Sun City is world famous, boasting an amazing selection of water and land based activities sports,, hotels, restaurants, and Las Vegas style entertainment. With two Gary Player designed championship courses, as tough as any golf course's in South Africa, it makes a few days in Sun City a must-play on any golfer's holiday to South Africa. A great two centre combination is to add on a stay in Cape Town.

Day 1
Morning arrival into Johannesburg, transfer to Sun City (approx 2 hours). Afternoon free to explore Sun City. Overnight at your Sun City hotel.

Day 2
Breakfast. Morning round of golf on the Gary Player designed Lost City course. Afternoon game drive through the Pilanesberg Reserve - an opportunity to see the 'Big 5'. Evening at leisure to experience Sun City's entertainment. Overnight at your Sun City hotel.

Day 3
An early morning balloon flight over the Pilanesberg Game Reserve, followed by breakfast. Afternoon round of golf on the Gary Player course. Evening at leisure to enjoy one of Sun City?s many fine restaurants. Overnight at your Sun City hotel.

Day 4
Transfer to Johannesburg Airport for your flight to Cape Town. On arrival in Cape Town our representative will meet you and transfer you to your hotel. If you prefer a self-drive holiday we can have a hire car delivered to your hotel. Rest of day at leisure to explore the famous Victoria and Alfred Waterfront. Overnight at your Cape Town hotel.

Day 5
Breakfast. Morning round of golf at Milnerton Golf Club, a links style course, which offers great views across Table Bay to Table Mountain. Afternoon free to explore Cape Town, Signal Hill and some of its surrounding beaches including Camps Bay. Overnight at your Cape Town hotel.

Day 6
Breakfast. Morning round of golf at Westlake Golf Club. Weather permitting, take a cable car ride which takes only 3 minutes to ascend Table Mountain, and gives stunning views over Cape Town and its surroundings. Once on top, viewing decks that "hang" visitors over the edge of the mountain offering wonderful photographic opportunities. Overnight at your Cape Town hotel.

Day 7
After breakfast, embark on a full day Cape Peninsula Tour. Pass through Simonstown, a historical naval village and follow the coast to the Cape Peninsula National Park. You will be at leisure here to perhaps take a funicular ride up to the viewpoint, to see the traditional tip of Africa. You may see ostriches or small antelope whilst you drive through the Park. Stop at Boulders Beach to see the resident African Jackass Penguin colony. Walk among the huge granite boulders and explore its many coves. Overnight at your Cape Town hotel.

Day 8
Breakfast. Morning round of golf at the Stellenbosch Golf Club. Afternoon free to visit Stellenbosch, the second oldest town in South Africa, located in the heart of the Winelands, offering the chance to enjoy some wine tasting in a local estate. Overnight at your Cape Town hotel.

Day 9
Breakfast. Morning round of golf at the Royal Cape Golf Club, the oldest in South Africa. Afternoon free to take a ferry trip to Robben Island, now established as a Museum and National Monument, and visit Nelson Mandela's prison. Overnight at your Cape Town hotel.

Day 10
An opportunity to enjoy your last morning in Cape Town and take in the views from the Victoria & Alfred Waterfront or get any last minute shopping. Afternoon you will be transferred or return your hire car to Cape Town airport prior to your return flight to the UK.
