Itinerary:
Arrive at Cape Town on the first morning, where you will be met by our representative and assisted with the collection of your hire car.  You will then drive the short distance to your hotel using our Personalised Travel Digest with its detailed driving directions.

The Bay Hotel is a lively, modern hotel located in Camp’s Bay right on the beach. The hotel has several restaurants and a popular bar with superb views each evening of the African sunset. You will be staying the next 3 nights here in a sea facing room on bed and breakfast basis. The Bay Hotel is a great place for topping up your tan either by the pool or at the beach club across the road, and is just a short drive to central Cape Town.Camps Bay is one of the main areas for nightlife with plenty of restaurants just a short walk away.

From Cape Town you will depart for the Winelands and 2 nights at La Petite Ferme, a working wine estate. Your accommodation will be in one of the cottages with its stunning views across the Wineland’s valleys below. La Petite Ferme is reknowned for its superb food and delightful accommodation. You can spend the next 2 days exploring the Winelands region, and sampling the wares from various wine estates.  

From the Winelands you will head east up the Garden Route and the old whaling town of Hermanus. At certain times of year it is possible to view the whales that come close to shore to calve. Your accommodation will be at Ocean Eleven Guest Hotel for 2 nights on a bed and breakfast basis. Situated right on the cliffs this lovely Cape Cod style property has wonderful views and is a short walk into central Hermanus. All rooms are ensuite and there is a lovely swimming pool.

Moving on along the coast your next stop will be Hog Hollow in the Tsitsikamma Mountains just a short drive from the popular coastal towns of Knysna and Plettenberg Bay. Hog Hollow is famous for its superb cuisine and tranquil setting with superb vistas over the forest. Relax in the hammock on your private deck or chill out by the pool. 2 nights at Hog Hollow with breakfast included.

From Tsitsikamma you will travel to your final destination Pumba Safari Lodge in the Eastern Cape. Pumba is the only reserve to offer the Big Five plus the chance to see the very rare phenomenon of White Lions.  With its 5 star game lodge luxury, Pumba offers the ultimate essence of South Africa's luxury and style.  The luxurious  Water Lodge comprises of 12 thatched cottages all opening onto a private deck and plunge pool overlooking the Kariega Lake. The bedrooms and bathrooms offer under-floor heating, dreamy, free-standing bath, double basins, and panoramic views.

You will spend the next 3 nights on safari with twice daily game drives, on full board basis. On your last day enjoy the morning game drive and breakfast before driving to Port Elizabeth airport. Drop off your hire car before catching the afternoon flight to Johannesburg and the onward connecting flight to London. Arrive back early the following morning.
