Sightseeing in Southern Africa

Cosmopolitan cities, gourmet cuisine, stunning beaches and awe inspiring scenery, Southern Africa isn't just about safaris or for golfers!

Cape Town
Cape Town is a great place to start an African adventure with so much to see and do.
By day there is Table Mountain, Cape Point and Robben Island, or a little retail therapy at the V&A waterfront. In the evening the city comes alive with superb restaurants, gourmet cuisine and great nightlife.

Winelands
If you're putting the waistline battle on hold, then the Cape Winelands is a great place to spend a few days of your holiday. The Winelands boasts typical Cape Dutch-style estate houses, spectacular mountain scenery and an incredible selection of world-renowned wines. Sample some of the local vintages and indulge in the gastronomic delights of the Manor houses and restaurants of Paarl, Stellenbosch and Franschhoek.

Garden Route
With spectacular scenery, flora and fauna, the Garden Route is one of South Africa's most popular tourist destinations offering an endless spectacle of lush forests, imposing mountains, lakes and dramatic coastline. The route officially begins in Mossel Bay and ends in Port Elizabeth, but we recommend you start out from Cape Town with a chance to see the migrating whales from the shore at Hermanus.

KwaZulu-Natal
KwaZulu-Natal has the reputation of being South Africa's playground as tropical temperatures make the region a year round destination. The Zulu Kingdom incorporates the bustling, cosmopolitan port city of Durban, the game parks of Zululand and the Elephant Coast where you can see the 'Big 5' animals in their natural habitat. Add to those, the endless beaches, a coastal lake wilderness of the Drakensberg, arts and crafts routes and historical tours of the Battlefields, which make KwaZulu-Natal a fantastic holiday destination.

Namibia
Truly stunning, Namibia wins hands-down for scenery. Shimmering dunes, Big 5 wildlife, clear blue skies and a wild, rugged coastline, you can experience this magical country with a self-drive holiday. Safe, good roads and stunning scenery, it is ideal for a solo African adventure, but if you prefer, we can arrange a guided tour instead.

Victoria Falls
The 2km gorge is spanned by the Victoria Falls Bridge, which was commissioned by Cecil John Rhodes. The bridge was completed by 1905, but unfortunately Rhodes never lived to see it finished. The bridge has an amazing view of the Falls and provides easy access between Zambia and Zimbabwe.

Beach
If you want some beach action to make your holiday complete, we can recommend some stunning resorts that can be reached easily from safari or sightseeing destinations, such as Bazarutto in Mozambique, Plettenberg Bay in South Africa or the idyllic Indian Ocean Islands of Mauritius. Perfect for a few days after a safari or golfing holiday.
