Chitabe Camp

Chitabe Camp is a luxurious eight-roomed, tented camp, built on one of the most beautiful islands in the Okavango Delta. It is situated in a private area in the south east of the Okavango Delta, which borders the Moremi Game Reserve. The Chitabe area is a combination of open flood plains, wooded islands and lagoons offering spectacular game viewing in the Okavango Delta but there are no water based safari activities at this camp.

The main lodge houses the thatched dining area, lounge and pub, that are raised on decks overlooking the surrounding flood plains. A sparkling swimming pool allows guests to cool off from the heat of the day.

Chitabe Camp Game Viewing
Activities consist of day and night game drives in open 4×4 vehicles accompanied by an experienced guide. Nature walks, tailor made to suit the guests, are also offered. Game viewing is excellent, and includes elephant, lion, leopard, cheetah, the shy reedbuck, giraffe, zebra, buffalo and hippo. Depending on the time of year, Wild dogs are also resident in the area. Night drives can be very rewarding, with good sightings of the rarer nocturnal species such as aardvark.

Rooms at Chitabe Camp
Accommodation consists of eight spacious East African style tents built on elevated wooden decks, beneath a lush tree canopy. Each tented guest room has en suite facilities with flush toilets and both outdoor and indoor showers. Hot showers are guaranteed anytime of day or night.

Dining
All meals and most drinks included (except premium wines, liquers & champagne.)
